David Eddy’s Road Trip carries a sense of movement, memory, and
possibility. As with all of Eddy's work, there is humor and something more
elusive; a quiet invitation to look beyond what is immediately familiar.
Eddy's paintings often turn the everyday into something worth reconsidering.
A road becomes a passage. A moment becomes a memory. What appears
playful can hold a deeper thought.
There is a certain nostalgia in David Eddy’s artwork that is never simply
sentimental. His compositions encourage us to slow down and consider what
they are saying about the way we live, what we remember, and what we
carry forward.
Perhaps that is the pleasure of David Eddy’s paintings, you see them, you
smile, and then you look again.
Road Trip by David Eddy is on view at The Wit Gallery.
