Award Winning Oil Painter John – Mark Gleadow to Return to The Wit Gallery’

The Wit Gallery welcomes award-winning painter John-Mark Gleadow for its annual “Open Aire” exhibition of the artist’s ultra-realist works. The artist will be showcasing his newest pieces and working on his most recent commission under the “Open Aire Gallery” tent.


John-Mark Gleadow is internationally known for his “Book Spine” paintings and giclées; paintings of bookshelves describing a theme or telling a story through a series of hand painted, imagined books. His annual summer visit to The Wit Gallery is an opportunity for the Berkshire community to see a true master at work while engaging in conversation.


Biography: Virginian artist John-Mark Gleadow had already achieved gallery representation by the time he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 1999. Renowned for his skill as a draftsman and ability for creating hyper realistic oil paintings, he has gone on to garner various awards, solo shows and grants and has been met with commercial success in the numerous galleries carrying his work from coast to coast in the United States and beyond. In Massachusetts, John-Mark’s work is represented exclusively through The Wit Gallery, 27 Church St., Lenox, MA.
