EUGENE PERRY

Eugene Perry is an abstract metal sculptor from Philadelphia. His passion pushes him to create innovative, modern, and sophisticated sculptures that are timeless.

Born in Liberia, West Africa, Perry moved to the United States at the age of ten. While working as a commercial steel fabricator, he earned his welding certificate and during his free time he created works of art using discarded scraps of metal. He was challenged to create works of art in metal by his mentor, artist Jung Park. They soon collaborated on several successful projects giving Perry the confidence and motivation to pursue his craft more aggressively.

After receiving enthusiastic response to his work from a community of collectors in both Philadelphia and New York City, Perry made the life changing decision to become a full- time artist. He currently participates in high end art shows across the Northeast region of the United States and has been featured in Philadelphia media on several occasions. His work has been on display in numerous local galleries with more than 500 of his pieces in private collections both here and abroad.

Perry has received several awards for his work, one of which was being selected as one of only 38 artists worldwide to exhibit at the first annual International Contemporary Christian Art Show in conjunction with the Vatican's Global 2011 event in Madrid, Spain.
