A caterpillar emerges from its chrysalis entirely transformed, carefully drying its wings before embracing its new life as a vibrant beauty, visible to the world and subject to endless admiration. This image was created to raise awareness for a health condition called Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia hides beneath the skin, manifesting primarily as widespread chronic pain, but can sometimes be accompanied by joint stiffness, cognitive dysfunction, and many other symptoms. Teaming up with a group of artists, we created images with butterflies to raise awareness in light of the 2015 Caterpillar Walk in NYC.
