LEDA ALMAR

VISUAL ARTIST

Leda Almar Portrait the wit gallery lennox ma.jpg

Leda Almar is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in South Florida, originally from Argentina. Working primarily in sculpture, she explores the expressive power of the human form—especially the female figure—as a vessel for memory, emotion, and storytelling. Her hand-built ceramic works, often created with stoneware, terracotta, and raku techniques, are deeply intuitive and symbolic.

With over 25 years of experience, Leda’s creative process is guided by emotion rather than sketches, allowing each piece to emerge organically. Her sculptures are known for their texture, vulnerability, and narrative depth.

In addition to her studio practice, Leda teaches ceramics, drawing, and painting privately and at institutions such as the Boca Raton Museum Art. Her work has been exhibited locally and internationally.
