AUDREY SHACHNOW
SCULPTURE

Audrey Shachnow is a New York-based artist whose work bridges a lifelong dedication to both design and fine art. She spent 25 years as an art director at leading publications and record labels including Rolling Stone, CBS Records, Atlantic Records, Condé Nast, The Village Voice, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, and Scholastic, where she led the magazine division.
She studied at the High School of Art & Design in New York City and Washington University in St. Louis, and received early painting instruction from European modernist Maxime Bugzester. After her design career, she returned to painting and sculpture full-time, studying with the late Graham Nickson, Dean of the New York Studio School.
Audrey maintains studios in SoHo, New York and Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Her Golden Pear sculptures have been exhibited at The Cloisters in New York and The Mount, Edith Wharton’s home, in 2024. Recent exhibitions include Bernay Fine Art (2024–2025) in Great Barrington and The Wit Gallery in Lenox, where she is currently showing.
