JACOB JAY GARFINKEL
Jacob Jay lives and works in Jerusalem, where he shoots still life and landscape photographs. His original photographs are deconstructed, reassembled and reconstructed into a new world, full of color and emotion. The goal is not to reproduce the world as conventionally seen, but to create something new. His work challenges the viewers’ customary visual assumptions of the object, and in so doing, frees them to concentrate on its shape and color.
His photographs have been exhibited at the National Press Club in Washington DC and the Jerusalem Theater, Israel
