JULIA CHRISTIAN
Julia Christian has been painting and drawing since the age of 6. Winning local painting competitions in Albany, GA as a teenager, she went on to receive a B.F.A. in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia. Julia has studied at The Art Students League, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and The National Academy School of Fine Arts. Julia moved to New York City to work in the art field after college, working for Karl Mann and Associates and John Rosselli Antiques and Decoration. Julia’s work has been featured in many national publications including Architectural Digest, Veranda, House Beautiful, Southern Accents, and is held in many private collections. In 1982 Julia returned to Savannah, GA to raise three sons with her artist husband, Bob, and to open Bob Christian Decorative Art, Inc. Julia continues to paint focusing on her favorite themes, the figure and the still life, incorporating vibrant color with a loose energetic style.
