Candice CMC is a contemporary photographer living and working in New York. Her one-of-a-kind pointillist portraits of pop icons are well known for the uncanny likenesses she composes not from paint, but from images of donuts. Each donut is shot as an individual work, and then pieced together form the final image. Using this process, Candice CMC has created works of famous celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Groucho Marx, Gene Wilder, Leornard Nimoy and Mick Jagger.
Candice has worked in graphic design and package design. With these photographic pieces, she
has put her artistic and design talents to work creating her unique and creative portraits.
All works are one of a kind. When creating additional images of the same portrait, Candice re-arranges the donuts so each of her collectors will have a truly unique piece.
